AKSILBET ROOF TILE – paint for roof, asbestos and onduline tiles

AKSILBET ROOF TILE is designed for:

• protective and decorative painting of concrete roof tiles
• renovation of old roof tiles with the use of AKSILUX impregnate
• painting of buildings insulated with asbestos-concrete boards with the use of AKSILUX impregnate
• painting of roofs covered with asbestos at pre-preparation with AKSILUX impregnate
• painting of ONDULINE type roof boards

•  efficiency: single layer 8 m²/ 1 litre of paint. It is recommended to apply at least two layers
• eco product, water soluble, acrylic-silicone based
• the surface is waterproof thanks to silicone ingredient
• use of AKSILUX impregnate under the paint improves adherence of the paint to the surface
• the coat is resistant to weather conditions: acid rains, fumes, sun – resistance tested during 10-year period in natural exposure conditions
• the coat maintains colour for many years
• vapour-permeable coat – walls can breathe
• the paint adheres to concrete surface perfectly
• in case of asbestos the coat creates a barrier preventing penetration of asbestos threads to the surrounding environment

PAINTING ROOF TILES:

Preparing the surface:
Roof tiles designed for painting should be thoroughly cleaned with water and detergent with the use of pressure cleaner (recommended) or a brush, followed by rinsing with clean water and thoroughly dry. If surfaces were covered with a mould, disinfect with anti-mould impregnate. The surface should be degreased, clean and dry.

In the case of old, loosely bound surfaces, they must be previously impregnated with a universal impregnate AKSILUX and then paint twice with undiluted paint AKSILBET ROOF TILE.

Preparing the product:
Stir and mix the paint before painting. First layer – dilute the paint with water 3:1 (3 parts of paint: 1 of water), and in case of very dense surface 2:1 ( 2 parts of paint for 1 part of water). The second painting is done with undiluted paint, apply 2 layers.

Painting:
The paint to be applied with the use of a paintbrush, paint roll or sprayed (pneumatic or hydrodynamic with a air cover).
Recommended parameters for hydrodynamic spraying (WAGNER gun):
– nozzle diameter 0,013-0,019 inch, e.g. 513 nozzle
– spraying pressure approx. 175-200 bar
– spraying angle 20 – 50
Thick coats up to 400 micron can also be wet applied
Recommended spraying guns: Wagner, WIVA and Kremlin.

WARNING:
AKSILBET ROOF TILE should not be used on smooth, non-absorbent ceramic tiles

PROTECTION OF ASBESTOS BOARDS:

1. Prior renovation of asbestos boards, pay particular attention to technical condition of surface and assess whether it is suitable for painting.
2. Surfaces designed for painting should be thoroughly cleaned with water and detergent with the use of pressure cleaner (recommended) or a brush, followed by rinsing with clean water and thoroughly dry. If surfaces were covered with a mould, disinfect with anti-mould impregnate.
3. During preparation works follow the guidelines provided in an ordinance on personal protective equipment.
4. AKSILUX impregnate should be brushed into with a brush onto dry surfaces.
5. When the impregnate has dried, surfaces should be painted twice with AKSILBET ROOF TILE paint.

First layer – dilute the paint with water 3:1 (3 parts of paint: 1 of water), and in case of very dense surface 2:1 ( 2 parts of paint for 1 part of water).

NOTE: In case of renovation of asbestos, all works shall be assigned to proffesional companies in order to thoroughly prepare and clean surfaces.

PAINTING OF THE ONDULINE:

1. ONDULINE is designed for painting should be thoroughly cleaned with water and detergent with the use of pressure cleaner (recommended) or a brush, followed by rinsing with clean water and thoroughly dry. If surfaces were covered with a mould, disinfect with anti-mould impregnate.
2. Cleaned surfaces should be painted twice with AKSILBET ROOF TILE paint..

First layer of the paint: dilute 3 parts of paint on 1 part of water

All painting works should be carried out in good weather conditions (no fog, rain, snow).
All painting works should be performed at ambient and surface temperature between +5 °C and +30 °C.
Use water for cleaning painting equipment.
Newly applied coat shall be protected against rain and frost.
