Expert advice

Performance: Performance of up to 10m2 from 1 litre with a single coat of paint. Practical performance depends on many factors such as the type of substrate, texture, colour and the type of tool used and the application method.

Preparation of the substrate:

The substrate to be painted must be dry, clean and degreased.

The sequence of operations to be carried out depends on the type and condition of the substrate surface. Remove thick layers of rust: - remove mechanically by sanding directly the thick rust layer and then dust it off.

Remove non-permanent paint coatings: - remove poorly adhering, old, damaged, poorly adhering paint coatings by scraping with a builder's spatula or wire brush, sanding, etc, and then dust it off.

Smooth and glossy surfaces previously painted: - roughen the surface with e.g. sandpaper and dust it off.

Dirt removal, degreasing: - remove dirt from the metal surface with a metal degreasing solvent

Note! Proper preparation of the substrate before painting is important to obtain the full properties of the coating.

Painting:

Before use, mix the paint thoroughly in the packaging.

AKSIKOR FENCE should be applied using a brush, roller or spray. It is recommended to apply 2-3 coats. The next coat should be applied after approx. 3 hours

Note: In case of painting with ACCSIKOR FENCING in light colour on a substrate of intensive dark colour, it may be necessary to apply 3 coats of paint.

Paint work should be carried out at air and substrate temperatures from +10oC to +30oC and relative humidity of air up to 80%. The temperature of the substrate should be at least 3oC above the dew point temperature. Carry out painting work under suitable atmospheric conditions (no fog, rain, snow). Work should be planned accordingly in hot weather.

Wash tools with water.
