How does painting furniture and other surfaces with CHALK PAINT look like?
This type of paint should be applied with a brush, roller or sponge. Depending on the desired effect, it is recommended to apply one or two coats. To achieve a shabby chic effect, apply two layers of paint in different colours. An interval of 2-3 hours on average should be observed between applications of each layer. However, the drying time of the paint may be longer at lower temperatures and higher humidity. The optimum air temperature at which painting is best carried out is 20°C ± 5°C. If you have difficulty applying the paint, it is a good idea to moisten the painting tool with water.
Do you need to sand off old coatings before painting with chalk paint?
The great advantage of chalk paint is that it covers old coatings perfectly. In many cases, it can therefore be applied without removing previous coats of paint and applying a primer. However, it is necessary to wash and degrease the surface to be painted. Sometimes, however, sanding is necessary - do not skip this step if the old coating has already started to peel or the material is damaged. When restoring old furniture, also pay attention to the type of previous coating - as some agents can react with chalky paint. This, in turn, can contribute to stains or make it difficult for enamel to adhere. If this is the case, it is advisable to roughen the surface with sandpaper or, before coating the entire object with paint, carry out a test on a small section of it.

Why is it a good idea to polish and wax a substrate covered with wax paint?
By carrying out these two steps after the painting has been completed, the paint-covered surface will become softer to the touch and easier to maintain. Wax also makes it much less likely for dust to adhere to the substrate. Another solution is to use ready-made preparations containing polymers - the advantage of these is that they do not need to be additionally waxed.

When can you start using the painted items?
