The varnish is a specialised product designed for painting reproductions of paintings on paper substrates, in order to give the impression of an image painted with oil paints.
LAKE is characterized by good adhesion to paper substrate, good elasticity.
When dry, the lacquer coating forms a specific u0022gufferedu0022 surface.
Apply the varnish once to the paper with a sponge roller of varying porosity depending on the intended effect (fine or coarse u0022moiréu0022). In this way, the slightly wavy layer obtained causes the appropriate refraction of light on the surface of the painting, which creates the effect of a painting on canvas with oil paints.
Painting should be carried out at a temperature of at least 10 °C, preferably at 20 ± 2 °C. Use water to wash the painting tools.
