Application

WIKLINEX-PODDER is used as the first layer under WIKLINEX EMALIA opaque enamels for wicker. The primer prevents migration of wicker components into the enamel and prevents yellowing of white enamel and enamel in pastel colours.

Properties

The primer is a one-component, water-based product. It has the ability to block the migration of wicker components into the coating, thus preventing yellowing of enamels in light colours.

Expert advice

The primer for wicker enamel is a concentrate that has to be diluted with water before use, depending on the application method:

  • for application by spraying, dilute approx. 30 % with water. For immersion application, the product should be thinned with water in a ratio of 1:1. The coverage is then lower, but nevertheless increases the adhesion of the enamel to the substrate. After a time necessary for the substrate to dry (about 2 hours, depending on the temperature and humidity of the environment), apply WIKLINEX-EMALIE in white or pastel shades.

    Use water to clean the paint equipment.
    Paint at a temperature of at least 10°C, preferably at 20 ± 5°C.
    Before use, stir the product thoroughly.
