Application

Wood Stain is intended for the decorative painting of wooden and wood-based elements indoors, such as furniture, doors, panelling, mouldings, decorative frames, woodwork, and in selected colours can also be used outdoors for painting elements of woodwork, doors, wooden wall coverings, garden furniture and fences.

Timber objects, used outdoors, painted with stain and not varnished with varnish have a colour fastness of approx. 1 year. Varnishing with water-based varnish (e.g. WOODLAK ZEWNĘTRNY) or solvent-based varnish for outdoor use extends the colour fastness depending on the resistance of the topcoat.

The colour fastness of wooden objects used outdoors depends on the resistance of the topcoat.

Expert advice

Surfaces to be painted should be sanded and thoroughly cleaned of dust. The substrate should be dry and free from greasy and resinous stains. The moisture content of the wood should be a maximum of 16%.

Painting is applied to clean, untreated wood by immersion or by brush, paint roller or spraying. With the immersion method, a single immersion is sufficient to obtain the desired colour and to ensure protection of the wood. When using a brush and a roller, a two-coat application is recommended. The second coat should be applied after the first one has dried out.

Painting with BEYCKA should be carried out at a temperature of at least 100C, preferably 200 ± 50C, and the relative humidity of the air should not exceed 85 %.

Before and during painting, the product should be thoroughly mixed in order to ensure uniform colour.

Water should be used for cleaning painting tools.
