HYDROAKSILUX – hydrophobing impregnate
An acrylic-wax, water-soluble, protecting-strengthening impregnate which can penetrate inside the mineral surface protecting it against moisture, water, dirt and simultaneously binds and strengthens the surface.
Application
HYDROAKSILUX is designated for strengthening and protecting particularly loose surfaces, including old brick, plaster – particularly interior where high resistance to moisture, water and dirt is required. can be also applied to protect asbestos. Applying two coats of the impregnates strengthens the asbestos. The surface impregnated this way does not require painting the asbestos with the paint.
Characteristics
- provides hydrophobing properties to the protected surface, prevents water absorption
- improves surface resistance to moisture and dirt
- allows to maintain the surface clean
- prevent falling off loose bonded surfaces
- in case of concrete surfaces coloured in the mass the impregnate livens up their color
- provides a wet surface effect on non-coloued surface

Surface preparation:
Impregnate to be applied onto the clean and dry surface. The surface to be cleaned with water pressure tools with detergent. Remove algae and moulds with the use of special purpose agents..
The temperature of the surface to be impregnated should be in the range of 80C – 300C.
Application:
The impregnate should be thoroughly mixed before use.
Apply one, two or three coats depending on absorption of the surface and the intended final effect. Each subsequent coat to be applied prior the previous is dry i.e. not later than 1 hour from the application of the previous coat.
Low pressure application is the best in case of application of the impregnate of vast areas.
The impregnate can also be applied with a roller or a paint brush.
NOTE: Cleaning and painting of asbestos can be performed only by professional companies due
to asbestos dusting and the need to conduct professional preparation of the asbestos surface
prior to painting.
Use water for cleaning painting equipment.
Impregnating shall be performed at the temperature of 50C – 350C.
