WOODEX – protection-décor for wood

WOODEX is designed for protection of wood exposed to weather conditions. Also suitable for indoor applications.

The product is mainly designed for painting of grade furniture and haberdashery such as pergola, garden sheds, fences and for painting of wooden house panels, soffit panels and rafter framing.

WOODEX can also be used to paint wooden elements of scaffoldings.

It is possible to make colors compatible with the RAL and NCS color cards on customer’s request.

• an eco, one-component product, can be thinned with water
• based on water dispersion of acrylic resin which can penetrate deeply inwards a surface
• comprises wood protection ingredients and waxes providing hydrophobicity to the surface

Surfaces designed for painting should be grinded and thoroughly cleaned from dust. The surface should be dry, free from any greasy and resin stains. Moisture of wood should not exceed 16%.  

WOODEX should be applied onto clean, raw wood by immersion method with the use of a paint brush, roller or spray. In case of immersion, only one application is sufficient in order to obtain the desired colour and to provide protection of wood. In case of painting with a paint brush or a roller we recommend to paint twice in order to obtain full protection of wood. The second layer can be applied after the first one is dry.

Applied in this way create a décor-protection finish of wood elements.

Painting with the use of WOODEX should be applied at the temperature of at least 10°C, preferably at the temperature of 20° ± 5°C and relative humidity of air should not exceed 85 %.

WOODEX can be thinned with water in 5 to max. 10% ratio. Higher water volume used for thinning can affect the final colour, which AKSIL is not liable for.

The product shall be thoroughly mixed prior to and during painting in order to provide homogenous colour.

Use water for cleaning painting equipment.
